Plant Introduction
臺灣海棗
The distribution of Taiwan sea date palm includes India, the Philippine Islands, Taiwan, Yunnan, Guangdong, Hainan, and other regions. Its leaves can be used to make brooms and it is commonly seen in gardens. It is called "sea date palm" because it originally grew along the coast. In places like the Hengchun Peninsula, the eastern coast of Taiwan, or the coastal areas of outlying islands, its presence is quite noticeable. In the Minnan language, it is also known as "mu kang lang." Taiwan sea date palm, also known as needle palm, belongs to the genus Phoenix of the palm family. It grows at altitudes ranging from 800 meters to 1500 meters. Its distinctive feature is the prominent leaf scars on the trunk. The compound leaves are pinnate, and the leaflets form right angles with the petiole, resembling the shape of a cycad.

長柄菊
Also known as tassel-flower, Eclipta is a perennial herb. It has strong abilities to establish populations and spread, with a high risk of becoming a weed. It easily spreads through vehicles, ships, containers, and goods. Eclipta is a weed in agricultural and artificial areas and, to some extent, in natural areas as well. Originally native to tropical America, it was later introduced to other regions and has become an invasive species in places such as the United States.
